After completing a number of evening classes and a full time certificate IV in Screen and Media at Metro Screen, Richard worked on a number of short films in various different capacities. Writer/director and actor on short film “Corridor of Fear”, Director on 48hr film competition, helping to create a Cannes entry film called “Verve”. He’s worked as best boy on a number of music video’s including two for “The Cameras”, plus another for “Short Stack”. Seriously, a good gaffer and grip knows more about film than some directors.
Previously, an I.T. contractor working in insurance and banking industries, Richard is looking to make a full transition into the film industry as a Writer/ Director, but looking to make Wist media one of the best production companies in Australia and indeed the world.
Richard has previous form in the acting world, having starred in a school production of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory as Mike TV, at the age of 9. To quote a friend who saw the play at the time – “I thought they’d really turned you into a lego man”. You can’t buy that kind of experience.
